Terms and Conditions
Last updated: July 20, 2026
These terms describe the rules for using Cactus. By using Cactus, you agree to use it responsibly and only where you are allowed to install and configure app blocking software.
Acceptance of terms
If you do not agree to these terms, do not use Cactus. If you use Cactus for another person or device, you are responsible for having the right permission to do so.
Description of the service
Cactus is an app blocker, website blocker, and focus tool. It can help users choose apps and websites, create blocking rules, set limits, view progress, and manage Pro access.
User responsibilities
You are responsible for the apps, rules, schedules, limits, permissions, and account settings you configure. Do not use Cactus to interfere with a device you do not own or control.
Permissions required by the app
Cactus needs certain Android permissions and system accesses to work. These may include Usage Access to read app usage and installed apps, Accessibility Service access to detect and block selected apps, VPN permission for website or domain blocking, notification permission, billing access, internet access, overlay permission for blocking screens, foreground service access, and boot/startup related permissions so active rules can continue after device restarts.
Website blocking and VPN service
Website blocking uses Android's VPN service capability to help Cactus apply website or domain rules on the device. This VPN service is used for Cactus blocking features and is not sold as a general-purpose VPN, location-changing VPN, or privacy tunneling service. Website blocking depends on Android settings, VPN permission, device behavior, and the service remaining active.
Free and Pro features
Free users can use core blocking features with up to 2 Managed Apps targets. Focus Mode, unlimited managed apps, and Cactus Logs are Pro features. Pro access depends on an active entitlement.
Subscriptions
Cactus Pro may be offered as monthly or yearly subscription plans. Subscription availability, pricing, taxes, billing periods, renewals, and cancellation options are shown by Google Play and RevenueCat purchase screens.
Billing and renewal
Android purchases are processed through Google Play Billing. Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled according to Google Play's subscription rules.
Cancellation
You can cancel a subscription through Google Play account settings. Deleting the app or signing out of Cactus may not cancel an active subscription.
Refund handling
Refund requests for Android purchases are handled by Google Play according to Google's policies. Cactus does not directly process your store payment details.
Restore purchases
Cactus includes restore purchase behavior through RevenueCat. Restored access depends on whether an active Cactus Pro entitlement is found.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse Cactus, attempt to bypass store billing, disrupt services, reverse engineer restricted parts of the app, or use the app in ways that violate law or another person's rights.
Availability
Cactus may change, pause, or stop some features. App blocking can depend on Android permissions, device settings, system behavior, network access, Supabase, RevenueCat, Google Play Billing, and other platform services.
Disclaimer
Cactus is provided as a focus and habit tool. It does not guarantee productivity, health outcomes, uninterrupted blocking, or complete prevention of app access in every device state.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, Cactus is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the app.
Termination
You may stop using Cactus at any time. Access to account-based or Pro features may end if an account is deleted, a subscription expires, payment fails, or these terms are violated.
Changes to terms
These terms may be updated as Cactus changes. The updated date above will change when the terms are revised.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the developer of Cactus, unless another mandatory law applies.
